Here is our long-awaited December Pop-up on a Saturday night – December 16th, to be exact! The headline is even more exciting than the front page, as this time we're blending our pop-up meyhane with the soulful rhythm and blues of the Aegean.

Drumroll, please! Çiğdem Aslan, George Tsolakis, Spiros Bolovinis, and George Angeleopoulos are taking the stage for an unforgettable live performance at Meyhane Rebetiko!

When it comes to Rebetiko, it's perfectly fine to crave for rakı... Because the historical narrative of the phenomenon goes a bit like this: lyrics, rhythm, and alcohol. 

So, in our "meyhane opening journey," we wanted to make an artistic move for the new year. If you're wondering, "What is this Rebetiko all about?" we come with a delightful suggestion: We recommend watching the 1983 film "Rembetiko" by Costas Ferris. If that's not your thing, at least listen to the film's soundtrack. Trust us, it will be good "training" until the 16th.

In short: If you've made plans for December 16th, we're not saying "cancel them." Instead, convince those you made plans with to join us!
