Our journey to open London’s first Istanbul meyhane continues. 

During our search for potential neighborhoods for Meyhane by Istanbul Elsewhere's permanent location, we consider suggestions based on the venue's suitability, location, and local vibe. We don't solely rely on recommendations; we also explore and ask around ourselves. 

After all, getting to know the city is crucial since we're opening London’s first Istanbul Meyhane.

Thanks to our müdavims (regulars) and their interest, we've been eager to visit Richmond for a long time.

After searching and asking, we found a great spot not at the “center” of Richmond but just a bit further! This month we set up our Pop-up Meyhane in the southern part of London; in Putney, where we met with our regulars; and talked about the meyhane and its current state!
